For one night only, London's Natural History Museum is opening the doors to its laboratories to give visitors a look at the science that goes on behind the exhibits.

Science Uncovered will bring researchers out to meet visitors, and let visitors in to meet the researchers.

Labs performing DNA analysis, the workshop where fossils are prepared for display, and rooms containing unusual scientific specimens will be among the new places where the public can go.

Three of the museum's researchers - molecular scientist Alex Aitken, senior curator Richard Sabin and polychaete worm specialist Adrian Glover - explain what they are doing, and why they are excited about the project.
